Discovering the Land

In summer 2016 our blended family of McMahans, Cresseys, and DeSimones visited the 673 private acres of land that is now White Aspen, 16 miles above the Bavarian town of Leavenworth, Washington. We loved it so much, us McMahans stayed through the winter..

Realizing the Dream

Daughter/Father Team, Brandy and Mike McMahan, decide to live on the mountain property while they decide what adventure they want to get into for a business on the 673 private acres near Leavenworth, Washington. While experiencing the magic and beauty of the mountain first hand they realized they needed to share it with others, but while protecting the wildlife and natural plants of the area. The idea for an off grid Luxury Camping resort was born and they got to work.

The Building Begins

Now that the McMahan's have decided to build an off grid, nature friendly luxury camping resort on their 673 acres of mountain top land it's time to begin. Not really sure where to start, they decided to concentrate one site, their flagship site, The Enchantments Luxury Tent site.

The Trial Season

Scenery from our first months of trialing the glamping tent in 2017 on our mountain. We were not "Luxury" yet, we were just getting our feet wet. We hosted friends and family. Learning by trial and error. Now in 2022 we look back at this season with fond memories, laughter at the many fails, and pride in what we've grown into today.

Spring 2018 ~ Getting Ready to Open

Our first official season opening White Aspen to the public for Luxury Camping at the Enchantments Tent Site. Once the snow melted, we had one week to make improvements and get everything set up for our first guests!!! We finished with 3 hours to spare before their arrival. We were exhausted and proud and ready to rock our 2018 season!
